About the Author

Dr. James G Hood has trained with some of the world s best dentists and specialists. He is currently known as one of Spokane s leading family, cosmetic, and sedation dentists. Dr. Hood has extensive knowledge in all aspects of general dentistry, and provides his growing list of patients with caring dental treatment. Dr. Hood is the author and editor of several nonfiction books. He has written essays, creative nonfiction, and research articles, and has edited extensively for his wife Karen s work. Dr. Hood reminds us of the importance of writing that is grounded in research. He has also volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Dr. James G. Hood is working on research to complete his Doctorate in Leadership studies from Gonzaga University. Dr. Hood, his wife, some of his sixteen children reside in Liberty Lake, Washington. Karen Jean Matsko Hood began writing as a shy author, but has now developed a voice all her own. Her writing always exhibits a unique story as well as a voice of empathy and purpose. Karen Jean Matsko Hood is the author of numerous cookbooks, children s books, poetry, and more. Her interests include writing, teaching, and volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in the juvenile court system for abused and neglected children. Hood is a literary and biliteracy advocate for youth and adults and some of their sixteen children. Hood also teaches culinary classes and online classes through her website. Ms. Hood is currently working to complete research toward her Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University.
